I started writing a haiku a day in July 2011 as a journaling project - a creative challenge that would also chronicle the ordinary moments of life. It has been a great discipline for encouraging me to think about the aspect of each day that stands out, and how to craft that into three lines of five, seven and five syllables.
Sept 26 - Out With Ollie, In With Charlotte, And It Strikes Me That It's Been Nice To Have Two Repeat Housesits In A Row, So We Actually Know Where Things Are (Mostly)
Things go right today
Though the late-day moves kill me
