I started writing a haiku a day in July 2011 as a journaling project - a creative challenge that would also chronicle the ordinary moments of life. It has been a great discipline for encouraging me to think about the aspect of each day that stands out, and how to craft that into three lines of five, seven and five syllables.
July 18 - As Much As We Are Getting The Hang Of This Baby-Casting Business, I Know We Were All Relieved To See That Anesthetist Booting Toward Us With A Howling Rosie
